Japan

For the last couple of weeks we have been going to another class to study Japan. And this week we have been doing japan words. Here is my work.

Rugby Final

In the weekend there was the rugby final. It was West Coast vs South Canterbury. The score was 23-19 to South Canterbury. We were down at half time but then we came back but then they scored a try. I went to the game with a couple of friends and we watched the whole game. I had a great time and it was really really fun. Here is a photo of the game.

Shake Out

Yesterday we had the shake out the whole of NZ did it. It is were we learn what to do when there is a earthquake or a tsunami. When we practice the shake out we go under the table and hold your head. Then we evacuate all the buildings and go and meet at a safe point.The safe point is a place where tsunamis can't get to us. 

Algebra

Every week we get a work book that we have to complete.

Netball

Yesterday we had a netball tournament. We played five games I played goal shoot, goal keep and goal defence. There were five teams we won every single game. We ended up in the final against St Pats and we won. Next week we are going to play Westport North and Westland High. The tournament was really really fun.

Under 52 kg Team

A couple of weeks ago there was a trial for the West Coast under 52kg team. I made the team I will be playing half back. I am going to the tournament this Sunday it will be really really fun we are there for 5 days and we play 4 games. We will be playing Buller, Nelson Bays, Marlborough and Golden Bay Motueka.
Before all of the games they have a way in to make sure you are under 52 kg.
On the day we have a bye we are going to be doing a training and going to the movies. At the end of the tournament they will pick a
tournament team.

Canterbury

A couple of days ago I went to Christchurch for Canterbury Cross Country. I was racing in the year 8 boys my race started at 12.00pm.
I was really really nervous beforehand they made us line up in areas
so I had to line up in the West Coast section. The race was really really hard, it was really muddy and for some parts of the race were up hill. It was a 3 km and I ended up coming 6th out of 189 and I did it in 11 mins and 15 secs. I also made it in to the Canterbury cross country team. The top ten from each race made it in. After the race I went and got some sushi and then went home.

Area And Perimeter

This week we did a DLO on Area and Perimeter. Here is mine.

Camp

Hanmer Camp 2019

This week we went to Hanmer Springs for school camp it was
really really fun. We did Mounting biking, Orienteering, walking up a hill, swimming and  crematory study. We stayed at Hanmer forest camp we were there for 3 days and 2 nights. It was really really fun. The thing that I liked the most was going swimming in the Hanmer pools. I also really liked going Orienteering that was pretty fun. Here is a photo.

Weekend Sport

This weekend my rugby team is playing against Marist. I play for Blaketown and we a really close with Marist. I play Halback for Blaketown. We have 22 people in our rugby team and we are pretty good. We won the pre-season ripa but came second it ten a side. 

We have won the final 2 but last year we lost to Marist in the final 20 - 22. We also won 2 against Marist in the final.  

Welcome Back To Term 2

Welcome back to term 2. This term is the most funniest term I reckon because there is so so so much happening this term like League tournaments, Rugby tournaments, School Camp, Cross Country. The thing that I am looking forward to most is the rugby tournament, it will be really really fun. I am also looking forward to the League tournament as well that will be pretty fun too and school camp in Hammer Springs that will be really fun too.

League

Today there is a League Trial for the grey main league team. The trial is after lunch, there is going to be two teams for the tournament in the but for the tournament in Christchurch we are just taking the best team. My favourite league team is the Sharks

Brunner mine

On Monday we went to Brunner Mine. The first thing we did was spilt into groups and did activities. The first activity I did was dress up and take pictures of parts from the book. And then we switched activities, after that activities and then had lunch. Then my group went for a tour around the whole Brunner Mine site. Then we got in the cars and went to the Stillwater Cemetery and did some activities and then went home.

Color Day

Today we have colour day It is for the bad event that happen in Christchurch. We had to donate a couple of dollars. We as a class rased $80.10

School League

Yesterday we had our first school league training, there were heaps of kids there. The first thing we did was do some tackling then we did some draw and passing practice. Then we had a talk and then we were done. Mr B is choosing two league teams to compete at the Wingham Park competition.

Music

This week for interchange we are doing music we are learning about all the different notes. We had to make a piece of music.

Cricket

On Monday I went to a cricket tournament. It was really really fun I was a batter and a bowler. There were four teams, the first team we played was Paroa and we beat them. Then we played Saint Pats in the final and if we won that would mean we would go to Buller to play the best buller team but we lost by 10 runs.

Cricket

Next week on Monday I am going to a cricket tournament for a whole day, it will be really really fun. I am batting and bowling. It is being played at Author Fong park. If we win we get to go to Buller to play and if we win that we get to go to Christchurch, there are ten players going.
